Professor Dimitrios G. Goulis completed his basic medical training (MD) and received his PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Having a scholarship from the European Union, he worked for four years (1996 – 2000) as a clinical research fellow at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK, acquiring the specialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. During his training in Great Britain, he was involved in the fields of Metabolism, Reproductive Endocrinology, and pregnancy complications. Since 2004 is a lecturer, since 2009 assistant professor (non-tenure), since 2013 assistant professor (tenure), since 2015 associate professor, and since 2019 full professor in Reproductive Endocrinology, serving at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Professor Goulis has published more than 370 full papers in peer-review international journals. His main research interests include male reproductive endocrinology, female reproductive endocrinology, endocrine and metabolic pregnancy complications, menopausal transition, evidence-based medicine, and research methodology.
